I was wondering if anyone knew of a good resource/website about any health complications that may be related to hepatitis C. I have noticed lately some clients diagnosed as Hep C+, and then developing a later health problem that may follow on from liver damage. For example, gout. With my tier 2, harm reduction stand point, I'm curious if there's any good and realistic lifestyle/dietary advice I can offer, along with referrals to appropriate health agencies; GPs and such.

Wikipedia and such has been good for some background, just curious about any more drug-use-specific resources.

I'm currently writing some HepC training which I'm delivering on Monday, because I'm on a tight deadline I'll have to sort you out info after then. I do have info on diet issues and long term health but they are buried in notes at the moment.

If anyone else has anything to add I know both of us would always be interested in more.

It's entirely possible the two conditions arise independently, of course; I can see how the liver may be implicated in something like gout, but I'm far from an expert. But there's still room for some harm reduction advice.
